Eric Dungy, son of former Colts coach Tony Dungy, has committed to play football at Oregon, according to ducksportsauthority.com.
Dungy is a two-star recruit and the website speculates that he could be used as a defensive back or a wide receiver for the Ducks.
As Pete Thamel of the New York Times points outs, Tony Dungy advised Oregon coach Chip Kelly after the incident involing Oregon Duck running back LeGarrette Blount.
Dungy, 6″1″ 185 lbs, played safety at Plant High School in Tampa Bay, FL.
Dungy told the St. Petersberg Times “(Oregon) definitely lived up to the hype. Even the academic stuff was top notch. It definitely was second to none.”
