Oklahoma State announced Monday that it has schedule an board of regents meeting for 3:30 p.m. CT Wednesday. Of course we know what that means, they will likely vote to either accept or reject an invitation for membership to the Pac-10.

Multiple media outlets have reported since last Friday that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State would join Colorado as Big 12 schools to join the Pac-10 as early as Tuesday once  the University of Texas conducts a similar board of regents meeting.

Monday reports indicate that Texas A&M has rejected the Pac-10 and is looking at joining the Southeastern Conference.

ESPN is reporting that Big 12 commissioner Dan Bebee's last-minute pleading with the Big 12 south schools to stay put did not work and the four schools will join the Pac-10. OrangeBloods.com is reporting that  Bebee's last-minute sales pitch still is under consideration.
