"Nobody wants to say anything bad about a teammate, I think Reggie's a heck of a player and I know he's a good guy, It was a tough position for him," former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez said about his former teammate Reggie Bush on Tuesday's Jim Rome radio show.

"It's really tough, you're young kids, you're really kids, sometimes when things are laid out in front of you like that its hard for you to say no."

Bush was found by the NCAA to have taken over in $300,000 worth of improper benefits while playing football at USC. As a result the USC football program received a two-year bowl ban and will lose 30 scholarships over a three-year period.

"You've just got to be smart and put the program first," Sanchez continued. "It's just a tough situation for the guys right now, this is the kind of thing that some programs have gone through and they make it out. Look at Alabama they came back and won a national championship. (USC) is still a great place to play unbelievable tradition."
