The New York Knicks and guard Raymond Felton have agreed in principle on a contract, though no terms have been reported. ESPN reports Felton will make at least $7 million per season.

Felton has played the last five seasons with the Bobcats started 80 games in 2009-10.

Mike D'Antoni has been unsatisfied with any point guard he's coached with the Knicks, be it Chris Duhon who recently left for the Orlando Magic, Stephon Marbury who was bought out and Nate Robinson who was traded to the Boston Celtics.

Most believe Felton will be an upgrade for D'Antoni's unique style of offense.

In 80 games last season Felton averaged 12.1 points and 5.6 assists per game.

On Thursday the Knicks acquired Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf, and Kelenna Azubuike in exchange for forward David Lee.
