Reds starting right-hander Edinson Volquez is will miss at least one year after having Tommy John surgery on his right elbow.
Volquez was 4-2 in nine games in 2009 with a 4.35 ERA. He went on the disabled list on June 2, after leaving a game May 30th in which he complained of numbness in his right pinkie finger.
