The Associated Press is reporting that the Detroit Pistons have signed Ben Wallace to a one-year contract. The Associate Press reports Wallace be paid $1.3 million. Wallace will be re-united with Pistons head coach John Kuester who was an assistant with the Cavs last season.
In 2006, Wallace signed a 4-year deal with the Chicago Bulls worth $60 million. At the trade deadline in 2008, the Bulls traded Wallace to Chicago for guard Larry Hughes, forwards Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons, and guard Shannon Brown.
The Pistons did announce the signing of three players Friday. The Pistons signed draft selections Austin Daye, DaJuan Summers and Jonas Jerebko to contracts. Daye was the 15th overall pick, Summers was selected 35th overall and Jerebko was selected 39th overall. Jerebko is a native of Sweden, he played professionally in Italy the last two seasons.
