The Houston Texans signed cornerback Deltha O’Neal and running back Andre Hall, released rookie defensive tackle Jake Visser and waived injured rookie running back Jeremiah Johnson.
The New England Patriots acquired DE Derrick Burgess in a trade with Oakland for undisclosed draft considerations today. Additionally, the Patriots released OL Al Johnson today.
The Chicago Bears signed C Donovan Raiola to a contract today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Raiola originally entered the NFL with the St. Louis Rams in 2006 as an undrafted free agent out of the University
of Wisconsin. The 6′2, 293-pounder spent time on the practice squads of St. Louis (2007) and Seattle (2008) and also spent time with Pittsburgh (2007) and Arizona (2009), but has not appeared in a regular season contest.
The Atlanta Falcons today signed free agent wide receivers Marty Booker and Robert Ferguson, released wide receiver Bradon Godfrey and placed wide receiver Harry Douglas on injured reserve. Douglas, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee Wednesday’s practice.

The Detroit Lions have released rookie free agent K Swayze Waters (Ala. Birmingham) and signed rookie free agent TE Carson Butler (Michigan).WR Bryant Johnson did not practice today and remains on the Active Non-Football Injury list.
Detroit Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz says he wants to run a physical camp. “If you want to be known as a tough, physical football team you better be ready to be a tough, physical football team in practice when you have pads on,” Schwartz said after Thursday’s Practice.

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed free agent Tight End Matt Sherry of Villanova. Earlier this week starting TE Reggie Kelly suffered a season ending achilles injury. Cornerback David Jones underwent surgery to place a screw to aid the stress fracture of his foot and he’ll be out four to six weeks.
