The Detroit Red Wings have signed free agent forward Ville Leino(notes) to a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old native of Savonlinna, Finland, appeared in 13 games for Detroit last season, posting five goals and four assists. Leino played in seven playoff games, notching two assists.
