- Saturday, June 20th 2009, Jared and Jeff Weaver were the opposing starting pitchers in Los Angeles. It was the 21st time in major-league history that siblings started against each other in a game but only the second in which neither brother pitched at least six innings. The only other such occurrence came back on June 26, 1924, when Jesse Barnes pitched only 3 2/3 innings for the Boston Braves while Virgil Barnes lasted just 1/3 of an inning for the New York Giants.
