• June 23rd 1917 – Babe Ruth is ejected from a game after walking the first hitter, Ray Morgan, complaining to the umpire throughout the at-bat. Ernie Shore pictured relieves and retires 26 in a row after Morgan is caught stealing. Shore is credited for many years with a perfect game.
