Mike Tirico will be the lead play-by-play announcer for NBC’s coverage of the NBA as the league’s new media partner beginning in the ’25-’26 season.
In June, the NBA signed an 11-year media rights contract with ESPN/Disney, NBC, and Amazon Prime Video.
Tirico called NBA games for ESPN from 2002-2016. Tirico also calls Sunday Night Football, the Kentucky Derby, the Olympics and golf majors for the National Broadcasting Corporation.
Possibly the busiest man in sports television.
As for who will work alongside Tirico as the color analyst, NBC has not made an announcement but they have signed former NBA’er Jamal Crawford as an analyst.
