Ok that was ugly.
The Chiefs never got into the groove. And I mean from the very first kick off, there was never an ounce of urgency until it was too late.
40-6 with 8:01 left to play in the game. The Eagles dominated the Chiefs, but it’s as though the Chiefs were never even there.
Patrick Mahomes looked conservative, tentative to start. He would be sacked six times including a pick-six with less than two minutes to go in the 1st quarter that would put the Eagles up 17-0. It was pretty much over at that moment.
We’re all human and there’s not doubting KC and Mahomes’s greatness. I didn’t hear much about the Kansas City offensive line prior to the game but they got dominated.
Overall a bit of an underwhelming Super Bowl but interesting for the fact that the two-time defenders were taken out by an Eagles team that was probably underrated by most. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts finished with 221 yards passing and 3 touchdown downs.

“I threw two interceptions in their end, I mean, I threw a pick six, and I threw a pick that they returned to the five-yard line, and they scored immediately after,” Mahomes said after the game. (Reuters).
“So, you give the team 14 points, especially a really good football team, a Super Bowl football team, and not a lot of good things happen.”
